Round Trip Tutorial
This video shows you how to install and prove out a Vortex Cafe system.
In this video you will learn how to:
- Set up your environment with Vortex paths
- run Apache Maven to download dependencies and build examples.
- run the roundtrip example to prove out Vortex Cafe – OpenSplice DDS Communication.
The video should be viewed at 1080p for the text to be legible.
Software dependencies
Before installing the Vortex Platforms bundle(which includes Cafe) you need to have the following software installed on your machine:
- JDK 1.7
- APACHE Maven 3.0 (Connected to Internet)
Running the roundtrip example
The video will show you how to run the ping/pong example to get roundtrip measurements, through Vortex Cafe and OpenSplice DDS. The example shows Vortex Web interoperating with an instance of OpenSpliceDDS using command terminals. Roundtrip measurements are then taken to prove out system.
